I have a confession to make... I wasn't a huge Lost fan, for me it dragged on a bit and it was confusing as hell. I made it to the end of season 3 and just stopped watching, and it had nothing to do with DDK.
I did find it fascinating that Daniel played a character who couldn't speak English and was taught it by his wife, who had been learning. Maybe that's why he picked this role, it allowed him to show his other strengths in acting without the comfort of being able to speak much. That's quite a challenge, and one I felt Daniel did exceptionally well. Obviously as the season's went on he got to speak English, but I'd already given up on the show by then.
